Joshua's exercises...

Joshua has been receiving physical therapy for over a year now to address some of the delays he has experienced in both his gross and fine motor skills. His therapist is so creative at getting him to exercise his muscles.

Here is one of the her latest strategies. It is a set of six buckets tied to each other with short ropes; they are specifically designed for kids to step on them.

Joshua loves walking on these buckets.

The bucket steps require balance, strengthening his legs and core muscles.

As his confidence grows, we spread the buckets further apart.

We also turned the buckets upside down for a new twist on the exercises.

And Joshua just thinks he is playing with a fun new toy.

My mind is racing with all sorts of exciting ways we can use these buckets to help Joshua exercise his little muscles while having so much fun!
