Today was Joshua's first day of swimming class. I was not sure he would even get in the pool on his own. We arrived a little early and I asked the lifeguard if we could get in and warm up. Joshua was happy to go down the first two steps, but did not want to go any further. However, once all the other kids got into the pool, he was happy to follow their example.
Joshua really likes his swim teacher. He watched her carefully as she showed the class how to move their arms and kick their legs. She had wonderful transitions from one activity to another -- Joshua's favorite was "Blastoff", where we count down from ten, then jump up in the air.
This is going to be a wonderful time for Joshua and I to spend together. We had so much fun today!
