Garage Sale

Today was the yearly, community garage sale for our apartment complex. We decided this was a good time to clear out some of the stuff that is cluttering up our apartment. The weather forecast did not look promising -- it was threatening thunderstorms all day, but we decided to risk it.

The early morning was overcast, hot and humid, but there was a good amount of foot traffic for the sale. Around 11:30am a police officer stopped by to warn us that his dispatch just reported the storms would hit within the next half hour. There was a mad dash to get everything inside as the rain drops started to fall.

Although the day was cut short, we had a pretty successful day, making almost $200. Now we just need to take a trip to the donation center to give away all the stuff that didn't sell. I know Darren strongly dislikes setting up and running garage sales, but he did a wonderful job sorting, organizing, pricing and haggling!
